HCG Diet drops information

British physician Dr. ATW Simeons discovered that a hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, or "HCG", in combination with a specific healthy low calorie diet, grabs your extra fat deposits -- no matter where it is stored -- forcing it into the blood stream where it is burned as energy. The end result is that your "problem" fat storage areas begin to shrink, not just the "easy" fat. Dr. Simeons' patients lost both pounds and inches!

The calories you eat on the HCG diet protocol are low, typically 500 calories a day and the hcg diet plan is restrictive to prevent the fat cells from storing new fat in the adipose tissues. When HCG is combined with a very low calorie diet, the person is subsisting more on their stored fat than on what they are eating. They are burning 3500-4000 calories of stored fat daily which amounts to losing 1-2 pounds every day!

The HCG diet protocol can reset your metabolism and protects your essential fat (fat between your organs and needed body fat) and muscle tissue while restricting your caloric intake.

hCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotripin which is a glycoprotein hormone produced during pregnancy. hCG can be found in the urine of pregnant women when the hormone is at its highest levels. hCG can be made synthetically or extracted for the urine of a pregnant women then processed for human use. Typically, on the hCG diet protocol you will be prescribed synthetic hCG for use on the diet.

 

Typically you won’t be hungry on the hCG diet protocol because the stored fat will be releasing its energy or stored calories and helping to fuel your body while you are doing your daily activities. Remember there are 3 primary sources of fuel for the body. Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats. Your body will use Carbohydrates 1st, then Protein 2nd and Fat 3rd when it can. By restricting your intake while on the hCG diet protocol of carbohydrates and fats, you are forcing your body to use your body’s stored Fat 1st for energy that is in your fat cells. This adipose tissue, body fat, will be released by the hCG hormone while on the hCG diet protocol into your blood stream for and fuel your body while the excess excreted as waste.

The HCG hormone is naturally present in men. It is found in every human tissue, including males, pregnant women, and non-pregnant women. Men get even faster results and tend to lose more weight than women.

Dr. Simeons HCG Diet Protocol

Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches is a very strict very low calorie diet (VLCD). It consists of daily injections of hCG (125 iu’s-175 iu’s), 500 calories a day, 100 grams of protein 2x a day, 1 small fruit or 4-6 small strawberries 2x a day, 2 servings of vegetables not mixed and a salad. No dressing, no oils, nothing else. You stay on the diet, 6 weeks on 3 weeks off and rotate continue until you have lost the desired weight.

Meat

2 servings of meat a day. Do not combine the servings. Each serving is 100 grams or 3.5 oz
All weight meat before cooking
All visible fat should be removed before cooking
Occasionally you can have eggs in lieu of a meat. 1 whole egg and 3 whites poached, boiled or even scrambled. Or you can have 100 grams of skimmed milk cottage cheese.
Vegetables

Do not mix or combined vegetables
2 servings a day
Dr. Simeons doesn’t give an amount of hCG approved vegetables. The popular consensus is 2 cups per meal before cooking.
Fruit

2 servings of fruits. Do not combine the servings


Breads

2 servings of breads a day. Either Melba Toast or Grissini breadsticks. Do not combine the servings.

Liquids

Water is essential 8 – 8oz glasses a day is minimal
Coffee
Tea
1 TBS of milk a day only


Load Days Day 1 & 2

Day 1, you will start your hCG injections today as well as your hCG load days. You are allowed to eat anything you want, often refereed to as 2 day hCG diet gorge days or loading days or as Dr. Simeons says ‘eat to capacity’. Preferably, you will want to eat fatty foods. You are not restricted on your eating today.

Day 2 you will repeat your injections and your loading from yesterday.

Diet Day 3

Day 3 starts your official 500 calorie hCG diet day and you will continue your diet from the sample hCG diet meal plan above for the next 26 to 40 days depending on how much weight you need to loss. The minimum is 26 days for less weight to lose overall and 40 days for more overall weight to lose.

As the Dr. Semeons hCG diet has taken on popularity there have been some changes since its inception. Some people go straight through the 40 days either injecting hCG or doing oral hCG, some take weekends off and some take Sundays off. This is another YMMV.

After your hCG diet protocol treatment is over, you will still eat as if you are still taking hCG for 3 days. The hormone is in your system and rapid weight gain is possible during this delicate time. After the 4th day of being off diet you may proceed to eat but I would advice choosing your food wisely. Going back to old habits will bring back the weight.

After the hCG diet you should decided what will help you not only maintain your weight but improve your health as well and what eating plan you are willing to do for life and what type of exercise you are willing to do for life.

If you need to continue to on your hCG diet journey to loss more weight your next hCG protocol treatment begins in 6 weeks. This allows time for the body to reset itself from any immunity that may have built up during the hCG diet protocol.

The following recipes are intended for Phase 2 of the HCG diet (500 calories combined with 2-3 doses of HCG). However, these recipes can easily be modified for Phase 3 by adding additional ingredients as prescribed by the diet.
